-Backward Design

We use a lot of backward designs in our daily life. The most common scene is before we go to the grocery store. Usually, we will design the menu before we go grocery shopping. This is similar to the backward design step — identify desired result. Then we will make a shopping list of what we will buy — culminating assessment task.

We can also see the backward design in this course. In the weekly topic post, each week has a Learning Objectives (choose goals) section on the upper page, and then we have read/watch (make a plan) section.

As an educator, backward design is a great way to design a course for students.
