Assignment 3


For this assignment, I decided to look back into the Design Principles. I’m running a charger brand with my friends and we are currently selling on Amazon. In the e-commerce world, one way to attract customers is through good image design. In the past few weeks in this course, I learned the principles of design. I decided to apply this to our e-commerce management so that we can rise the conversion rate, in other words, to improve sales.

To be honest, there aren’t many changes. We cut down some words so that the image looks cleaner and let the background talk. The alignment of the original design looks okay, so we have done nothing to it. There is only one selling point in this photo, which applies to Cognitive load theory. After this change, I find out that we can still improve our images. For example, Optimize color to support the design. In this image, there’re too many white elements, which is a lack of contrast, and this applies to Signalling and coherence principles.
